Dream Passages

This floating world
in which we come and go
and nothing lasts

is where we fancy
friends and enemies or strangers
to exist

yet friends are one day enemies
while enemies become our friends
and strangers feed the changing cast

so really in this floating world
like beings in a dream we are
with nothing as it seems

where to awaken what it takes
is choosing kindness always
even as our dreamlike hearts are breaking
