The Surveyor
Not quite lord of anything
no matter what he surveys
he's just up there to squawk and call it singing
and because it's where he stays
to spot whatever being
might be carried away
before the other not quite lords or ladies
interfere and try to have their say
about who is entitled to what
no matter what he surveys.
