Appearances
As I neared the sand beach at Hearn, I heard the most dreadful commotion. Squawking loud and explosive and shrill, and what might have been some version of screaming. Surely someone was being killed. It grew worse and worse until finally I shouted, "Hey, what's going on!" Whereupon this couple flew up and over my boat and landed just beyond and from there paddled sedately away. Together. I wonder what they could have been arguing about. Or perhaps they were just goosing each other. At any rate, as quiet as they were after that, they were by all appearances just another loyal couple deep in love.
