we'll all want to visit.
You may live in a crowded city
but an island home is in your heart.
Make it a cheerful dwelling place.
There with the sea and the seabirds
on an unforgiving granite coast
where the glaciers when they melted
dropped what they'd scraped up,
make sure the sunlight reaches you
and lights your little island home
so those across the way exclaim
and feel love for their world
and maybe just a little bit
for every being in it.
