East Ironbound in the Sky

The ocean is a good place to relieve yourself of the illusion that what you see is what you get. East Ironbound is an island, made of slabs, piles, blocks and mounds of lichen-freckled tide-marked granite, topped with a stubble of soil and evergreens and a scant population with their cobbled-together shelters. It does not float in the sky. Yet it seems to when seen with the naked, the unfiltered, the all-accepting eye.

Look deeper into your experience. Is each day not a dream? Are things exactly as they seem? Is it better to see clearly or amass a wealth of islands in the sky?

Now is the time to consider. There will be no meeting with your banker when you die.
