Space as a Loyal Companion
There are times I conduct business on the ocean. Right now I'm eating mackerel that I caught and marinated and shaped into balls and coated with sesame seeds and froze back in August. I think it was August. Anyway, in the air fryer for twenty minutes and then dipped into soy sauce spiked with wasabi, they are an absolute treat. But the photo is from yesterday. Mackerel season is done. Now I'm just out there enjoying the space. I won't rile the dog and cat lovers by implying that space is more loyal. Well, the cat lovers might understand. But anyway, we meditate together, space and I. At some point it feels rather like space and space, which is quite a relief. And an antidote for loneliness, if I may say so, with my humble duty. Space speaks my language, so that we understand each other perfectly, without a word or a woof.
