A Little About Here and There

A few days ago I was out on a chill autumn morning taking pictures like this, of one of Nova Scotia's enchanting tiny islands. I was no colder than I am this morning in my house, where the outside is getting in through the holes where windows are being replaced by a crew of two cheerful giants whose Russian is fluent but whose English flows more like molasses would in these circumstances. I have my gloves off to write this. Hat and coat still on. Buzz saws for music. Oh to be back on the boat among the islands. But here is instructive, da?
