Terence Bay Nocturne 2

Everything so precisely in place and so tidy, it might be a model or an image from a graphics program. And afloat not on the water but on the stuff that dreams are made of. Yet there she lay, beside the dock in Terence Bay, and tomorrow or the next day she might venture out to check her traps, and the price of lobster might be up or down and topic of a conversation. But on this night reality was questionable. Not answerable, but questionable. And so we plumb reality, which is not made of answers. And finally not even questions.
