Ladies in Waiting

Sea folk have always had a habit of referring to their boats in the feminine. Although this isn't the case with Bampy's Boy, the custom still prompted me to think of these two stalwart Cape Islanders as "ladies in waiting", as on their moorings they await their crews and captains and another chance at the sea. Delicate creatures of the court, however, they ain't.

You go, ladies!
