Our Village of Prospect for web DSC_7605
Born in Texas
We all wanted out of our small town of Texarkana. Only 50,000 population and a backwater in many ways. The exodus landed us in New York City, San Francisco, Denver, Seattle, even Tokyo, mainstreams of culture and what is known as progress. And pretty crowded. I tried some of them myself. Now "progress" seems overrated, culture secondary, and spaciousness primary. I came to rest twenty-two years ago in the little village of Prospect, Nova Scotia, population somewhere around 200. I wanted out of small so bad I ended up in tiny. Which makes the ocean that much bigger. And me forever thankful.
