Winter Morning at Joe's Dock
It's a small village, Prospect. There was a time when scores of fishermen made their home here, but that time is long gone. We now have one resident fisherman, Joe. This is a peek at his dock on a cold morning this winter. In the background you see, to the left, what once was the village church but was sold off by the Catholic church. That's why the front window is boarded up. And the building to the right, which was an adjunct building used by the community to host special events such as plays and lobster suppers, has since been demolished by the new owner of the church building, whose intentions, as far as I know, are to convert that building into a residence. Yes, a cold morning, and perhaps a bleak outlook in some respects, some might say, but life goes on and goes on changing, and there is still no place I'd rather be.
