Walking On

The day will arrive
when you would give all you own
to have never departed

but late on that saddest of days
a child will arrive through a door with a flower

a stone will reveal
its secret heart of water

the road will end in a field
the field will end in the ocean
the ocean will end in the sky

and you will walk on alone and light-hearted

a star among stars
