Sky King

My brother wanted a Sky King airplane. Our family was young and full of life. Television was black and white. We liked the flying cowboy detective better than Superman. For Christmas my brother got a little airplane connected by a wire a few feet long to a battery canister. You pushed the button and the plane flew in circles connected to the wire.

Now our family is old. Mom and Dad are bones. My brother has a real airplane. I mean one he can fly in.

Space is the real Sky King. Sometimes it makes an appearance for a while. Like in these clouds yesterday over the north Atlantic, where I like to wander.
