Where Muses Come
When I was writing Big Bertha and Little Mac, Love Stories from the Granite Coast, I often came out to my dock and sat in one of these joined chairs that are bolted down to keep them from flying away in one of our many strong winds. And though it may not look like much, the muses came and sat with me as if it were the throne of kings. Mac and Bertie came to life here by the sea, where the air is clear and you can launch a boat or simply sip and dream.
