Old Dock - At Your Own Risk DSC_9482
At Your Own Risk
I've lived here for 23 years now, and although I will always be considered a "come-from-away", the place has become home to me. This dock is an old friend of which I've taken many photos. I've bragged about its strength and how it withstood Hurricane Juan when more strongly appearing docks were washed away. And it is always sad to see an old friend truly near the end. The fish cleaning table is still there - the last of any blood or scales has long been washed away. I can still slide my boat under it to keep me steady when I want to take a photo of the harbour. But if you want to walk out on it, you do so...
