The Brand New Border Patrol

When signs are ignored, other forces come into play. This is only natural. Signs are there for a reason. Ignoring them is unreasonable. If the reason is important, the ignorance may have dire consequences. For many years, signs have advised visitors to stay off the black rocks at Peggys Cove, Nova Scotia. Why? Because the black rocks lie across the border between ocean and land that is dangerous to cross. The ocean’s enforcers are waves that unexpectedly arise and sweep people off the black rocks. Many people have died in this manner. Yet the signs are ignored. So now, because death is important, land enforcers have come into play. They wander the rocks of Peggys Cove, especially the ones between the lighthouse and the North Atlantic. May they intercept the dangerously ignorant. And may I ask, because important decisions in the world are nigh, that all signs be scrupulously observed. Death and divisiveness are thriving, and no brand new patrols are available. It is up to us. Take heart. Stand up for love. We may not be able to turn back the tide, but we can care for each other.
