Alone on a Hill
Alone on a hill, as if at the dawn of creation, a glacial erratic perches. It came from somewhere else and was left here by the glacier that scraped it up. For thousands of years it has sat there, not truly part of the land, in one sense, yet in another sense a crowning jewel of the land.
We've all been moved around by circumstance. Sometimes we're accepted at our dropping off point, sometimes not. But wherever we end up, one thing our enforced journey has not stripped us of is our dignity, with which we too are crowning jewels.
Never relinquish your dignity.
