Facing the Sea

When the wind gets a full head of steam, the waves wash right over Bald Rock. Even in a stiff breeze, the rollers crash against the island and rocket sky high. The face of the island that looks into this unimaginably powerful and constant punishment and has for thousands of years ... a segment of that rugged granite countenance is pictured here. The colour you see is that of all that ever grows on Bald Rock. On a calm day, I was to seaward of the island and able to take pictures. This is from the last set of images from my drowned D810.
