Along the Granite Coast As I was out on the rocks today, I thought of my guru, Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, and these words came to my mind from a song by Milarepa that he taught us: "And just as the elementary principles
Of earth and water, fire, wind and space
Are everywhere you go, may I be just like that as well
May I be everywhere that you might go"

I think of him in meditation posture on the rocks, in samadhi, unmoving, in Tibet, in Colorado, in photographs. I remember, Sir, when last we parted, how you said when I missed you to look out to sea. So here I am, Sir, on this bit of Granite Coast, and you are with me always.
