Where Shallows Run Deep

Speaking in our careless tarnished way
we say it is a sandy bottom with a shallow overlay of seaweed
and sunlight rippling in a colourful display

but with discipline and polishing the mind truly shining
reveals immeasurable depth
and magic deep as space and as inseparable from us
