Re-launching Mojavon
Over the course of thousands of miles in seven years, I have used this dory hard. She's been in rough water and calm, dragged up on granite shores, hauled up ramps with no rollers, left out in sun and rain. Her paint got dull on the outside and worn away on the floorboards. The fiberglass layer on her bottom was in places ground down to the wood. So she spent some weeks in the Turquoise Palace boathouse spa this summer, with yours truly at work on her. Today she went back in the water, newly painted and glassed. Looking pretty good, don't you think? Now we're off for more rowing and more chronicling of the Granite Coast.
