Styles If You Make It Up
If we are lucky enough to get up on the wave, we might exhibit different styles. We might be dancing to the music, we might be cooling, confident or graceful. These styles might reflect who we were before we arose. Or we might never make it up. We might stay in the ocean as fish. One thing for sure (and here I must dissolve the metaphor) when and if we are reborn, our last life will be like a dream, forgotten completely or remembered in shreds and not for long. So, if we want to be human, and to be of benefit as humans, we need to study now how to be human and to practice that. We need to be kind, and to realize our original mind, as much as any surfer needs to wax their board. We need to persevere daily in that. And then any style will be fine, because who we were before we arose will have awakened and been freed of the bonds of the dream.
