A Simple Wish
If it's down by the sea
no matter how ramshackle it may be
there's magic there
You bring the tonic and I'll bring the lime
There's gin left over from last time
The bottle's underneath a chair
There's knives and forks and spoons
an old guitar - we'll play some tunes
while Maddy fries the fish
Then later on we'll take the boat
out in the moonlight, if she'll float
and that is all my dying wish
