First Light Colours DSC_6390

The Colors at First Light

Another from my series of photos from Diamond Beach, Iceland. This at the very moment of the first rays of sun to reach the ice fragments on the black volcanic sand being bathed by the incoming waves. These are the colors I saw. Not augmented, not changed, not modified in any way. The light is the culprit, and its angle is its method. Those colors don't really exist. You can't find them anywhere. At the very moment I saw them, they were already changing. In ten minutes they were very different, and by midday they were hardly there at all. Does it remind you of being a child? Were your first colors what they are today?
