The Flowers on the Stairs
We were having lunch at the Tuna Blue. The chowder and seafood crepes were magnificent, but somehow we could summon no joy to the day. It was as if we had lost our ability to see colour. The vividness of life had disappeared. We paid the bill and tipped extra in case the waitress was feeling the same. We were on our way to the car when a glance down the stairs toward the harbour revealed a hidden treasure. There were flowers on the stairs. And they were red. So red. Blood red. As if on the verge of succumbing we had been granted a sublime transfusion. We went on our way revived and, if I may say so, quite grateful. Not sure to who or what, but quite grateful.
(Photo taken with NO FILTERS. However, just a wee bit of fun in post processing.)
