Fence and Shadow I have a friend whose mother just died and another friend whose husband just died. This photo is from last year during my last visit with my mother, who died in January. This was the fence around her garden. This is the shadow that was left in my heart. May we see it all as the great beauty of the way things are, and emerge from grief renewed
