Heart Cloud Heart Sutra

Sometimes gifts seem to come from nowhere, in the most magical way. Every morning I chant the Heart Sutra with its concluding mantra of, "Gone, gone, gone beyond, gone beyond going, thus is awakening." This as a prelude to meditation practice. I've done this for the better part of 30 years. Yesterday at twilight I was rowing along the coast when this heart cloud appeared.

This morning I chanted again, and when I got to the mantra, the heart cloud came into my mind.

Thank goodness for small favours.
