Village Pets
I was out for a row yesterday when passing by the government wharf I heard a commotion about some fish and ducked in to see. My friend Scott who was having an invigorating swim in the just-barely-warm-enough water of the harbour said they were triggerfish and that, given they were not frightened away by all the commotion they caused, ought to be called village pets. They didn't mind my presence too much either and I got this nice picture. Google 'triggerfish in Nova Scotia' for more on the matter. I will divulge that while they might have some pet-like behaviour, you shouldn't put your hand too close to their mouths.
