Unintentional Intimidation
I go as quietly as I can. Really. The sound the electric motor makes is as quiet as quiet gets for a machine. And I sit very still and imagine I am not even there. Still the seafowl get disconcerted and flee. And my goodness they get gone in a hurry!
I have been told, in my life, that I am intimidating to people too, no matter how gently I go about meeting them. And that has always surprised me.
So, I do what I can. And that is to go ever more gently and at the same time bear witness.
There are worse fates, I guess. 👻
