Balancing Act

Along the shore the winds of disturbing emotions blow strong.
To use the tools of wisdom and compassion that we’ve brought along
And not be blown away, we need the strength that meditation gives us
If we practice it every day, and also the balance that study of the way things really are
Brings into play.

We all straddle the peak of a perilous rooftop these days.
These words, however awkwardly expressed, are meant to help us keep our balance
And be what we need to be. Always. Or at least more often, eh?
