Between Two Houses

"I hate all the year that isn't Halloween."
"Yeah, me too."
"We're special then."
"And now we're only junk again."
"And they call themselves human."
"Yeah."
"I love it with the neon skeletons draped over me and all the cars that stop and all the windows that roll down so they can get a better shot."
"I love it with the urn on top of me that says Godzilla's Ashes in fluorescent red. And the look on the little trick-or-treaters faces when that gets explained to them."
"Yeah. And now we're stuck between two houses so we won't be seen at all."
"Yeah. They ought to make it Halloween all year."
"I hear with all the wars that it's a possibility."
"Really? Who's going to celebrate if everybody's dead?"
"You've got a point. I guess we should be satisfied with what we got."
"We should. It's hard, though. It's hard to be junk again when you've been something special."
"I just want to be loved."
"All we need is love, right?"
