When Your Mooring Comes Adrift

Hello mooring buoy won't you keep me from all harm?
My captain's left the ship, without you I'm on my own
and I've no idea where that is, maybe Jupiter or Mars.

I sing this for the lonely ones who have no place to go.
I sing it since a song is all that let's me know I'm dreaming.
If you come adrift, oh buoy, what will I do then? What if?

The news was not here till the morning, groomed and tailored
and without a clue. The blue light might have let them know
but that was yesterday. They say therefore there is no

rational explanation. So they have a burger and a beer
and go on with a story of the winter games in Galaxy 19.
I'd like to go there but I've never been. Won't you come with?
