Taking a Chance on Love

We were having a celebration lunch at Salty's by the harbour, with an open air table right on the water. The chowder was fantastic, especially after not eating for a day to prepare for the operation. The beer was against post-op recommendations. The space and the fresh air were exhilarating after the hospital's stale confines. The fog was moving in from offshore. A lone sailboat sailed, not away from the obliteration of clarity but straight at it, as if taking a chance on love, yet another chance on love.
