Alderney Landing

I was out in the cold because it felt better there. My friend was inside at the dentist. There was other nice stuff in the building. Fresh fish, hot coffee, an art gallery, a money machine, a homeless man making profound observations about something I wasn't quite sure of. And it was nice and warm there. But I had a restless feeling that got the best of me. I imagine it will be that way when comes the time to lay me down at last. So maybe I was practicing. I felt the beating hearts of all the passengers arriving on the ferry as it crossed the harbour. And was in love with them all, and did applaud them all. And walked on with the funny little cloud of my breath, the oh so funny little fleeting little cloud of my breath.
