Coming Home

Pictures can be deceiving. Prospect is a beautiful place. On the strength of my photos of it, it is sometimes perceived as a sort of paradise, restful and healing. Yet dissensions exist, people are not always kind, and hurricanes have batted us about. Nevertheless, when I have been out on the open sea for even a few hours and I find myself returning to harbour, to the cove, to my dock, a peaceful easy feeling does arise. The storm may rage but I am home. Neighbours may not be my number one fans, but they will come to my aid if need be, and I to theirs. The time to meditate is always now, at this very moment. Knowing that, and knowing how storms of one sort or another are raging all over the world, I am so glad to be in this village.
