**Basic Goodness**

In its essence, mind has no elaboration. Yet all elaborations arise from the mind. At the same time as they arise, they are given no substantial quality by the mind, because the mind is not like that. Appearances have that dynamic quality of mind, of all under-lying mind, as thoughts have their dependence on mind. So all is in play. All is always in play, like the moon on the water, like a rainbow, like fireworks, like a baby. There seems to be duration, there seems to be development, there seems to be fruition. And then we are back at the beginning. The instruction is to learn to realize that beginning mind. All the habituations of ego have not happened there yet. All the "I, me, mine" has not happened there yet. This is not an instruction. This is simply an invitation to look at your mind, at your own mind, and see if it is not like that. If it is, may there be benefit. If it isn't, holler for help, knowing space is infinite and even echos disappear.
