Prospect from Neil's Back Porch
Neil is a retired military pilot who did six years in Europe and is now 82. I didn't think anyone was at his house and I saw that the light and the fog were just right for a shot of the village so I pulled into the driveway and got out and walked over to a good vantage point in the backyard. While I was getting set, Neil came out on his back porch and asked if he could help me. I apologized for the incursion. We then had a nice conversation. I was happy he came out. Happy that Nova Scotians in general are welcoming and generous and easy on well-meaning trespassers.
