Prospect Windy and Wintry

I had the good fortune yesterday, as I was chipping away at the ice-crusted snow in my driveway, to have my friend Steve arrive with his truck and its plow, and shortly my dilemma was resolved. In the course of our ensuing conversation, he mentioned that he was glad to help, for one thing, because the desolation of Prospect affected him. Coming over the rise of the last hill before the ocean, the village, he said, reminded him of a winter wasteland. I didn't feel like arguing the point. I was too grateful. But it did make me want to process a photo I took a couple of days ago, in a break between snowstorms, that I think shows a different picture. Yes, we are a jewel set in a wilderness. Nevertheless, we are a jewel, and for all the difficulties we experience by living here, we also enjoy great richness. So. Thank you, Steve, for getting here for me. And thank you, Prospect, for being here for me. You are my home salty home.
