Snow Day
Snow Day in a Seaside Village
Many of my friends from childhood, and along the way, prefer city living. So much more to see and do. Never a lack of entertainment, never a chance to get bored.
I think of them sometimes when I am enjoying the quietness of Prospect, where there is little do on a snow day beyond listening to the snow fall. Which doesn't make a sound.
What I can do is invest in better weather by taking the pontoons off my trimaran and painting them on the kitchen table. So when spring comes I'll be ready.
I do go out in the winter, as most of you know, but because of recent weather I had to take the inflatable out of the water so it wouldn't get blown away or filled with snow. You can sort of see it through the sliding glass doors, turned over there and hitched to the porch.
Cool boredom is actually the bomb. If you've never tried it out, you're missing the safest haven going. Life passes. What we do is not as important as we think it is. What we don't do is not as dangerous. And what we think is just local color, like a rainbow.
Love to you all. Never forget the three words: open, spacious, relaxed.
