Ice Blossoms
At first you say, I don't know what this is
it's a mid-dream awakening
the light, the shape, and the darkness for once all-embracing
and then you shake it off
that residue of habitual hallucinations
and you realise it's nothing but the tide
in this latest of winters
having left the ice with no support
so on the rocks it breaks and blossoms
and its bliss is undeniable
so you become truly human.
