"Raven"
I was flying upside down. I thought it would impress the lady. Maybe let her see the deity in me. The Odin. That is when I ran into the other fellow, also flying upside down, also trying to impress. And so we fell into the sea, where gulls attacked us as we tried to rise. I think I saw the very gull whose nestling I had lifted from the nest not three days past. It was a tasty mouthful then. Who knew revenge would find me? Who knew when consciousness returned that I would be no longer flesh and feather? Who knew I would adapt and as a thing of stone beside the sea find peace?
May all the beings be relieved of their burdensome karma. May all beings find peace.
