Beyond Concept

We perceive beauty we cannot explain. A barren landscape, one with few plants, known for sinking ships driven onto its intersection with the sea, suddenly calls to us. Because the light is right. And at times when our own lives seem barren, the right light can show us a beauty that is likewise inexplicable. As it turns out, that light is always available. When we let the mind rest, the clouds of thinking lose their invincibility. The light of our original nature has a chance to shine through. When it does, we perceive beauty that we cannot explain. We realize a peace beyond happy and sad. We can do that. It has been shown since ancient times to be so.

The landscape here lies along the High Head trail near Prospect, Nova Scotia.
