Smokehouse
Vanishing
Smokehouse on the edge, the back bay
hiding from the open sea, the island known as Redmond
vanishing in fog
all remind me somehow of a life
I thought
was mine.
The shore is still a reference point
and so I sit and contemplate
while small waves
glitter in the
momentary
light.
