Approaching Spring

After living here for 30 years through the longest winters I have ever known, I have somehow come to feel that spring is always approaching, even when it is here because its time is so brief. So the sun was out strong enough for a sunburn and weak enough to return a chill to the air the moment a cloud intervened. I was in Black Swan wandering the back bay when I saw the Chignecto Mariner making its rounds. This picture is not too sharp, but it does show the village's one bed and breakfast (still under renovation after several years), the church (sold and boarded up), and some of the houses. It's a quiet community. The only really consistent ruckus comes from wind and wave, and as ruckuses go, it's rather minor between hurricanes. Excuse me, I have to cut this short. I hear birds outside. It sounds like spring approaching, and I don't want to miss it.
