A Ragged Flag and Victory

This flag made of fabric all tattered and torn
is only the end of an uplifting image

The uplifted spirit the flag represented lives on
in granite the wind and the waves scarcely damage

in hearts that take everything thrown and stand firm
though stripped and laid bare as the day they were born
