When Nature Moves

Rhubarb
rooted in a corner of the garden
how is it every year that you remember
to return, and not just that, to dwarf
in your return all else, the irises, peonies,
even the weeds? Do you claim, as edible,
to matter more, and thus to rate more space?
Or is it just because you can?

I think you have no choice.
I think because there is no you
I have no one to ask, even, and therefore
nothing even to say. But that's okay.
Imagined company is quite okay.
How could it not be? Everything is mind so
nothing really overflows. And I and rhubarb and the wind
when Nature moves, we move, okay?

And who went missing, we can’t
really
say
