At the Seaport Farmers Market

Contemplating with coffee a vanishing point
Awakening to the difficulty of determining that point
Because the fog is busy blotting out
All the borders between this and that
Nevertheless suddenly finding that point
Within oneself

Then tossing the cup
Leaving harbourside to head back in
Finding everything lively again
Hundreds of voices reverberating
As friends meet and cabbages are bagged
And once again the point is hidden
