Our Island Home Prospect has a bit of mainland, but in the main it is islands. The main two islands are connected by very short, very small bridges. We get more ocean-like weather than many other communities because we are stuck out farther in the ocean. Since we are not far from the Gulf Stream, our weather is usually moderated. It's cooler than the mainland in the summer and warmer in the winter. Of course there is the occasional hurricane, and that's all that needs to be said about that. It's hard to move here and at the same time hard to stay here, but if you can get here, you will know beauty.
