When You Don't Know Your Own Mind DSC_6722
When You Don't Know Your Own Mind
When you don't know your own mind
you wander in a fog
the winds that move you are brisk
the coast has granite teeth
the vessel with your nameplate
comes to grief
Be kind and meditate
learn to distinguish thoughts
of blinding passion
destructive aggression
and enshrouding ignorance
from mere awareness
where the light shines clear
where no matter what happens
you know where you are
no stranger to yourself
instead a ship of liberation
that can carry all
