On the Outside

"I don't like it."
(Sighs) "Okay, why don't you like it?"
"We're on the outside. I want to be back on the inside."
(Sighs again) "Okay, why do you want to be back on the inside?"
"Because my toes are cold."
(Monumental sigh) "George, you don't have toes anymore."
"I know that. But they're still cold."
"I guess you'll just have to get used to it."
"Why won't he let us come back in?"
"Must we keep going over this? He set a boundary. He wants us to move on."
"I don't know how to move on."
"If you weren't my brother..."
"I know, you'd move on and leave me."
"George...dang...give me your foot and I'll blow on your toes."
"Oh Billy Boy, you really are the best. The bestest ghost of all."
(A sigh even louder than the howling north wind)
